Female Entrepreneur

As a business coach for female entrepreneurs, I’ve met many businesswomen who are reluctant to seek help and support. This can be because, as a woman, we are used to being strong-willed and self-sufficient. It’s just not in our nature to admit weakness or loss. But this kind of attitude is counterproductive. As female entrepreneurs, we need all the help we can get. Being a business owner doesn’t mean you have to be on your own. And you’d be surprised at how many resources are out there to help you achieve your goals of growing your business.

Another common oversight of female entrepreneurs is only seeking help when the business is doing bad. This shouldn’t be the case. Business owners need coaches, teachers, and mentors even when their business is doing fine to make sure that it continues growing. A coach will ask you relevant questions that will guide your growth, and help you find the answers within you. A teacher will teach you new skills and techniques you will need to aid you in achieving your targets. A mentor will act as a soundboard and give you pertinent advice on your state of affairs. All of these play an important role in the progress of your business.

When To Seek Help

As I’ve previously mentioned, it is always a good time to seek help and support no matter where you are in your business. Most female entrepreneurs do this when they want to start growing their business and need assistance. Others get help when their business is going south and they want to get it back on track. But what about when the business is doing fine but has stopped growing? This is called plateauing, and all businesses at some point has gone or will go through it. When you are stuck at a certain level of growth, breaking through can be a make-or-break opportunity. It is the perfect time to go back to the drawing board and reassess your strategies.

Figuring out what is preventing you from growing your business further will help you overcome them. At this point, investing on new knowledge and skills will give you better insights on your business so you can take on better actions and change course. And you don’t have to do this alone. Again, a coach or a mentor can help you get through this uncertainty.

It Is Better Not To Just Have A Coach But A Mentor As Well

If you want to continue learning and growing, having a coach and mentor can make a great impact. Some of the benefits of having a business coach for female entrepreneurs include:

  • You will come up with new insights.
  • You can get valuable tips and learn new skills.
  • You see a different approach and direction. This will help you make better decisions.
  • You become open to new opportunities and options.
  • You will get in the flow again.

It’s also important to keep in mind that it is you who is in control. A coach and mentor will guide you, but in the end,  you make the decisions.

What To Look For In A Coach Or Mentor

Now that you are aware of the advantages of having a coach and mentor, the question is: how can you find a good one? Here are some things you should look for:

  • A good mentor or coach invests in herself by going through training and other learning opportunities to further her knowledge and expertise.
  • A good mentor or coach has a mentor or coach herself.
  • A good coach or mentor has vast experience in her particular field.
  • A good coach or mentor has significant experience as an entrepreneur.

Basically, a good coach and mentor walk the talk. But knowledge and expertise will be of no use to you if you don’t click with them. Finding a qualified coach or mentor is different from finding the right coach or mentor for you.

Other Areas Where You Can Learn

If you cannot hire a business coach for women or a mentor for yourself, there are many other ways you can learn and grow.

  • You can attend seminars and training. There are many paid and free courses you can take on topics you think can help you and your business.
  • You can join mastermind groups. If being able to interact with a mentor or peers is important to you when you are learning, you can join groups that discuss the topics you want tips or feedback on.
  • You can search and find like-minded friends or communities. If you have friends or know people who share the same interests, it’s a good idea to connect with them.

Summing It Up

Although taking care of everything on your own and being independent is not a bad thing, you should not shy away from seeking help. You must take all available opportunities to grow and scale your business. And this includes enlisting the help of professionals and experts who can take your business to the next level. The best way to grow is to keep learning and to keep adapting, with help and support from other people who want to see you achieve your goals and succeed.

Business management and proper planning is the key to success as a female entrepreneur. However, some female entrepreneurs don’t choose to take action and prefer to be reactive. They just wait for things to happen on their own. They are unmindful of the fact that if they do not set targets, they can’t change the course or direction of their business.

According to an article by the Harvard Business School, the root cause of every business disaster is mistakenly pursuing short-term goals ahead of long-term ones. This is why female entrepreneurs need a plan or a direction to go to for the foreseeable future, instead of just focusing on short-lived strategies. Long-term plans will help you achieve your goals and targets by showing the path on what to do and how to do them.

Know The Steps To Achieve Your Targets

Business planning starts with setting targets. After you are done with that, you must also look into how you can achieve them. Knowing the first step is the most important part. From there, you will be able to figure out what you will need to do next. If you’re uncertain about your initial steps, you can ask yourself the following questions:

  • How much money do you need monthly?
  • And How many clients do you need to close to meet that amount of money?
  • How many leads do you need to have to be able to close that many clients?
  • What marketing actions do you need to take to get this amount of leads?

These are just a few things that you can plan. When you’ve answered these questions, your targets will be clearer and you can draw up your plans from there. If you need more help with this, you can always consult a business coach for women for valuable advice.

Always Evaluate And Adjust

When you are coming up with a business plan, don’t keep things too rigid. When a business plan is too tight, it leaves no space for new insights or actions. Let’s face it, life is unpredictable. Things don’t always go as planned, and there are circumstances that are beyond your control. When this happens and you don’t reach your target, it doesn’t mean that you failed and there’s nothing more you can do.

As a business coach for female entrepreneurs, I can assure you that this is not the case. At the very least, you can learn from these setbacks. Evaluate and figure out what isn’t working for you, and then adjust your plans accordingly. Keeping your options open will not only keep you going, it will also make room for more opportunities that will help grow your business.

A Long-Term Plan Requires Commitment

Many female entrepreneurs are too occupied with day-to-day tasks, routines, or short-term goals to even think about planning for their business in the long term. But if you don’t know where you see your business in one, two, or five years from now, how can you properly manage your business? How will you know what steps to take if you have no direction to take your business to in the future?

This is why it’s important to take the time to visualize your ultimate goal or end result. Otherwise, you will just keep making plans that are all over the place and with no contribution to the overall growth of your business. Making long-term plans may seem difficult, but these will steer your business towards the direction you want to take your business to.

If you don’t reach your goals right away, do not be discouraged. Commitment is key to ensuring progress and growth, and staying focused on your targets despite hurdles will keep you on track to achieve them. Keep learning, keep adapting, and keep going at it. As in any goal, may it be personal or for business, dedication can be the difference between short-term accomplishments and long-term success. If you want to learn more about scaling your business, you can check out this article.

Female Entrepreneurs

Summing It Up

Making and achieving short-term plans will give you the momentum and drive to grow your business, but committing to long-term plans will make sure that your business continues thriving. It’s not enough to set easy goals and hope for the best. Female entrepreneurs need to be in charge of the direction they take their business to. If you want to succeed and scale your business, you should start making long term plans now.

Setting Financial Goals

Keeping finances in check plays a major part in running a successful business, especially for female entrepreneurs. Proper finance management ensures the development of any business and prevents it from crumbling before even hitting its peak.

However, many females entrepreneurs struggle with finance management. A reason for this can be that women are usually not financially oriented. They don’t fully understand the financial part of the business, which then keeps them from making informed decisions.

There are many ways to get a better handle on your finances. As a business coach for female entrepreneurs, I believe that setting financial goals is a good way to understand how your business works and how to keep it growing. In other words, setting targets is a tool you can use to direct the financial growth of your business.

If you think that this is an overwhelming and difficult task, don’t be afraid. These goals and targets don’t have to be complicated. You can set daily, weekly, or monthly goals, depending on what you think will suit you best.

See The Full Picture, Look Into The Details

A common mistake most businesswomen make is jumping on to make financial goals without seeing the full picture. This leads to ineffective goal-setting. Consulting your bookkeeper or your accountant will help you have a better understanding of what the numbers in financial reports actually mean, and how they impact the growth of your business.

Once you’ve stepped back to view the big picture, you must then look into the finer details. When you make financial plans, you need to determine how much you want to make and how much your monthly costs are. Setting how much turnover you want to make it relatively easy, but when business coaches for female entrepreneurs ask their clients how much their monthly costs are, most of them do not know.

If you’re unsure about what makes up your monthly expenditures, here are a few things you need to consider:

  • Invoices of the things or supplies you need to buy regularly
  • The payroll of your staff
  • Rent
  • Insurance
  • Car repair and fuel costs
  • Incidental costs
  • Monthly membership fees such as:
    • Email marketing tool
    • Bookkeeping program
    • And all other platforms you use

Female Entrepreneurs

Making And Achieving Your Financial Plans

When you set goals and targets, business coaches for female entrepreneurs recommend making them monthly and working from there. When you know how much you spend each month, setting realistic and achievable goals becomes easier. You will be able to see if you need to do more to reach your goal, or if you have earned enough to make a profit. This way, you can also adjust your targets accordingly.

Once you’ve gotten the hang of monthly financial planning, you can work on your yearly plans, taking into account all the information about your finances that you’ve gained along the way. These plans will help you carefully monitor your progress and give you more insight into what really goes on in your business. As a female entrepreneur, this is a crucial part of growing and scaling the business.

Female Entrepreneurs

You Can Do This!

Making financial plans and setting financial goals for the first time can be a bit time-consuming, but it is definitely worth it. Many female entrepreneurs don’t even consider making financial goals as it takes a lot of effort, and they choose to just wait and be reactive. This shouldn’t be the case. Female entrepreneurs can and must influence their income. And setting financial targets is a great way to do that.

It can be complicated when you do it the first time, but if you set financial goals and targets every year, you will be more confident in shaping and directing not just your financial growth, but the growth of the business as a whole as well.

To know more about business scaling strategies for female entrepreneurs, you can check out this blog.

Needless to say, financial targets without plans to execute them make no sense at all. You also need to know how you will achieve the targets.

Summing It Up

Being a business owner comes with a lot of responsibilities. This includes making critical financial decisions for day-to-day expenses, investments, marketing and more, all to keep the business going. Setting financial goals will definitely assist in keeping your finances in check and your business on track.

If you are still struggling with making financial goals for yourself and your business, you can consult a business coach for women.

Female Entrepreneur

Female entrepreneurs need to set goals and targets if they want to achieve growth. Every year, thousands of people with new and promising ideas think about starting their own business. However, most of those fail in the initial years of the business. The reason for their failure is the misconception that having a good business idea is more than enough to start their successful business. In reality, setting proper goals and targets, and taking the right actions to achieve them, are what keeps a business going.

Many business coaches for female entrepreneurs find that one of the main reasons why most female entrepreneurs fail to sustain and scale up the business is that they set their goals either too big or too small. When a target or goal is too big, it can be scary. When that is the case, most people avoid it or delay it for too long, or never accomplish it at all. On the other hand, if a target is too small, we tend to be uninspired because we are simply not challenged enough.

What Characteristics Should Your Targets Have?

Most business coaches for female entrepreneurs agree that goal-setting is one of the keys to a successful business scale-up strategy. To come up with good goals and targets, there are a few things you should consider:

  • The target must be exciting. When you set your goals, think about what excites you and inspires you. When a target you set motivates you and you look forward to achieving it, it lights a fire within you to work harder to reach it. However, If the target is too strict and boring, you might feel limited by it and you end up lacking the drive to complete it.
  • The target must be challenging. According to a study, 90% of people perform better with relevant and challenging goals. Your targets and goals should be fueled by ambition. They must not be too easy that you don’t feel any accomplishment even after having achieved them. They should also not be too challenging that you feel discouraged to even start. In other words, your goals must be aspirational yet realistic.

Most female entrepreneurs don’t make it a priority to set goals and targets because they tend to constantly worry about how they would be able to achieve them. As a business coach for women, I assure you that the only thing you need to know is what your first step will be. The rest of the steps will become apparent to you after you have set out to work on your targets.

Female Entrepreneur

When Setting a Target, The Only Important Thing Is The Reason Why

If you want to set the perfect goal for yourself and your business, you need to know why. When clients consult me about goal-setting and business scaling strategy, as a  business coach for female entrepreneurs, I usually ask:

  • Why do you want to achieve this goal?

This is because the reason must be significant and valuable enough that you will work against any obstacle in your way to achieve it. After all, when you desire something, you will continue to work hard to get it. This way, failure will not be an option for you.

If you feel like all this is overwhelming you, don’t think that there is anything more you can do. I write another blog post about how you can avoid burnout as a female entrepreneur and focus on scaling up the business.

Different Ways Of Goal-Setting For Female Entrepreneurs

At some point as a female entrepreneur, especially when you’re scaling a small business, you must have heard of the traditional way of setting goals: the  SMART way. This is an effective technique of determining what goals to set to maximize your chance of achieving them, and eventually to scaling a business for growth. SMART goals should be:

 S- specific

M- measurable

A- achievable

R- realistic

T- timely

To sum it up, a target should be specific and detailed, as opposed to general and vague. There should be concrete and measurable criteria for the progress and results you achieve. And the goals should be reasonable, attainable, and set to a schedule or a timeline.

As a business coach for female entrepreneurs, I highly encourage this method. But other than this, I also recommend that you visualize your goals. In your mind, think about what you want to achieve, and go into detail when you do. Use all your senses. What does success look like to you? You can even create a mood board to help you feel your goals and make them tangible.

Female Entrepreneur

Summing It Up

Setting goals and targets is an important step for your business growth. Starting a business is easy, but maintaining it is tricky. To ensure the structured growth of your business, you should make daily, weekly and annual goals for your business. This will help keep your business on track and will help you keep check on the progress you make.

find the best leads

When it comes to finding new leads for your business, many female entrepreneurs are struggling to create a consistent flow of leads. And it does not need to be this way. Finding leads can be easy when you follow these guidelines.

Continuity pays off.

First of all creating leads should be something that you, your team, or automation give time to daily. You constantly need to be out there to make sure that you work on getting leads daily.

This can be through:

  • live or online networking
  • paid advertising
  • email marketing
  • funnel marketing
  • reaching out to people online
  • or any other method you might use

You should only stop searching for leads when your business gets too busy and you are unable to handle the constant flow of new clients anymore. This is a reason to start hiring people to delegate tasks to, or to slow down. If you are feeling overwhelmed with too many tasks or responsibilities, I share about overcoming this in another post. You can also consult a business coach for women to help you manage the growth of your business.

On the other hand, when your clients start to complain, then you know:

  • you haven’t fine-tuned your service well enough
  • you cannot give them the time and service they deserve, because you are too busy
  • or you did not communicate well enough

For all the above reasons, most business coaches for female entrepreneurs would advise you to stop your lead generation and first make sure that the issues are solved before you start to onboard more clients.

female entrepreneurs

What you need to do before you can even consider lead generation

  1. You need to know exactly who your ideal client is. When you don’t, finding leads can be difficult. Or you do get a lot of leads, but they are not targeted, and you are wasting your time talking to people who end up not working with you, or with people you don’t want to work with. I share more about finding the right client on this post.

  1. You need to have the right offer. When you offer a service that does not resonate with the leads you are targeting, you can have 100 leads per week but it will be like finding a needle in a haystack to be able to convert.

  1. You need to have the right pricing strategy. When you target an audience that cannot afford your prices, you won’t sell a lot. And vice versa.

  1. You need to have the right positioning towards your targeted audience. They need to understand that you are the expert they need.

  1. You need to have the confidence to sell for the price you ask. When you sell high ticket services and you don’t value yourself enough, it will be difficult to sell. But when you convert every call into a paying client, it means that your prices compared to what you deliver are too cheap.

What is lead generation?

Lead generation is finding the right people to have communication with. This can be written communication such as emails, blogs, social media, and sales pages. Or this can be spoken communication such as calls, videos, presentations, or webinars.

When you communicate with these leads, they can eventually become your paying customers.

To be able to have these communications, female entrepreneurs need to do a lot of marketing so that these people will see their online communications or will schedule a call with them.

As a business coach for women, I assure you that having a personal call or even a personal visit can be the most trustworthy way to sell your service when you have high prices. For low ticket prices, online communication (selling) is very appropriate as it will cost you less time.

female entrepreneurs

What is a sales cycle?

When you start with lead generation, you need to know what the duration of your sales cycle is. The sales cycle is the first time your potential clients (prospect) communicate with you by written communication, call, or even when they ask for a brochure, or opt-in to your email list,

until they become a paying customer.

Depending on which audience you target and what the price or product is, this can be a short cycle of a couple of minutes or even months to years for large organizations who you want as your client. According to reports, the average sales cycle takes from 2-12 months.

How many leads do you need?

This depends on:

  • The duration of your sales cycle
  • Your capability: how many clients you can handle at a certain time
  • Your conversion rate: how many calls you need to have to get one paying client, or how many emails you need to send to have an online sale, etc.

When you take these factors into account, you can roughly estimate how many leads you need daily, weekly, and monthly

female entrepreneurs

Conversion from your efforts into a lead

To be able to find out how much time and money you need to find the right amount of leads daily, weekly, or monthly, you need to know the following factors:

  • How many inbox conversations do you need to have to schedule a call?
  • How many email addresses do you need to be able to convert?
  • How many emails do you need to send out to be able to have someone opt-in for a call?
  • How many presentations or webinars do you need to give for a potential client to reach out?

Some of the calculations

For example, we need to have around 30-50 inbox conversations (inbox conversation is when we speak to someone on Facebook Messenger or LinkedIn inbox) to have one scheduled call. To be able to get 50 new people to visit our profiles and start a conversation with, we need to send out at least 200 new connection requests (which we can automate).

We need to have roughly 4 scheduled calls to have 1 sale. Clients don’t always book immediately because sometimes they need to find the money to pay, which can take them up to 2-4 months. So even when they decide to work with me immediately, this sales cycle is a lot longer since they often start 2-4 months later.

You need a system

The above is just an example of one of the systems we use for lead generation. As you can see. this is a LOT of work! Yet it pays off immensely.

Do I have time to this all on my own? NO.

Do I want to do all these things myself? NO.

I only want to have the calls.

female entrepreneurs

What about you and generating leads?

Are you thrilled with the number of leads that are flowing into your business daily?

What if we find the leads for you and have them schedule in your online calendar?

Last year, I and my team have tested this method, though roughly, and I am now confident enough to say that we can guarantee you leads. And help you with all the rest.

You see, that is where we are different. We don’t just give you any leads that want to have a call with you. We find you the leads that YOU want to have a call with. Can you see the difference?
We schedule with targeted leads that are the right fit for you.

And since I and my team will help you with

  • the right audience
  • the right positioning
  • the right price
  • the right offer
  • conversion techniques
  • sales techniques

I am confident enough to GUARANTEE you that you will double your business within a year. Otherwise, I pay you back the money of my business mentoring and guiding. Schedule a FREE call with me here to find out if we can help you too: https://go.oncehub.com/15MinuteCallWithTineke

Business Scaling Strategies For Female Entrepreneurs

Scaling a business can be challenging for most female entrepreneurs. Although scaling a business is exciting and can get you to new heights of success, one wrong step and all your efforts go in vain.

Most businesswomen are not big fans of scaling their business. They don’t know much about the ins and outs of the business, which leads them to misunderstand the concept of scaling a business for growth. They also want to remain in control of all the tasks regarding their business and fail to delegate. Or they simply think too small. They don’t have any new strategies for scaling a small business and they are hesitant to learn as well. All of these habits contribute to why female entrepreneurs are unable to scale and grow.

But don’t let this uncertainty scare you away from scaling. You should always be asking yourself, “How else can I scale my business?” With the rise in the popularity of technology, there are many new opportunities for female business owners to grow their businesses and go global. Nowadays, people interact and purchase constantly online, so learning a new business scaling strategy to reach a global level is not at all a bad idea.

Strategy # 1 To Help Female Entrepreneurs Scale Their Business

Always start with the basics. Before you think about any business scale-up strategy, most business coaches for female entrepreneurs suggest you work on your foundations first. You need to make sure that your business has the capacity and the capability to grow.

Female Entrepreneurs

  • Look At All The Products Or Services And Evaluate

By putting forth good quality services and products and meeting the needs of your customers, you put your business in a better position for growth. So, before you turn to a scaling business strategy, take a look at all the services you are offering and evaluate:

  • Which services are doing well and which services are not?
  • Which ones are costing you a lot of money and which ones are not?
  • Also, which ones can you continue to sell and which ones can you not?
  • Which ones cost you little to sell and which ones don’t?

After you are done answering these questions, you can make a list of all your best products that will help you move forward and scale up the business.

  • Who Needs To Do What And Who Is Responsible For That Within Your Business?

Find out who is responsible for which task. If you are just starting and are on your own, you can make a list of all the tasks you need to do to sell and deliver your products. Then evaluate whether all these tasks will help you in scaling up the business. Ask yourself, “Are they capable of growing with me and my business?” and take necessary measures.

  • Are There Standard Operating Procedures?

You cannot scale your business effectively if you have not introduced SOP’s in your business. SOP’s are documented data of all the repeating tasks within your business. They make business management so much easier. Many business coaches for female entrepreneurs recommend creating SOP’s. If you are unable to create them on your own, you can enlist the help of a business coach for female entrepreneurs for proper guidance.

  • Do You Need Extra Digitization And Automation?

If you are growing your business, you need to invest in automation. Assess all the systems you are using and evaluate if you can manage the growth of your business so that when a problem shows up, you can handle it.

Strategy # 2 To Help Female Entrepreneurs Scale Their Business

Set goals for your business. Where do you want your business to be in the future? What are your goals? What can you do to achieve them? By setting goals for your business, you will come to know about all the things that are missing from your business. Adjust your business foundation to allow scaling of your business. Also, you can add new positions in your business which you might need in the future.

Strategy # 3 To Help Female Entrepreneurs Scale Their Business

Make plans. Create financial plans to manage your finances to grow your business, including marketing plans to further scale it. You can also create a sales plan to generate higher sales. Then, set targets for each week or month. This will help you keep your business on track. Hire a business coach for women to customize your business plans for you and reach your targets on time.

Get help. Scaling a business is not easy. It is like breaking through your current ceiling to reach for the sky. Proper strategies are needed to make it to that next level. That is why you need the help of a professional such as a business coach for women. With the right help, you will make less mistakes and more money.

Why Female Entrepreneurs Often Forget To Create SOP’s

In these current times, you need to come up with a great business strategy to succeed as a female entrepreneur. Your business also needs to be of a substantial size. But how do you achieve this? This is why you need a business blueprint.

A business blueprint is a series of steps you need to take to ensure the growth of your business. After you are done planning and building a team for your business, you need a system to ensure everyone knows what they need to do at any given time.

For this, you can create a standard operating procedure (SOP). Standard operating procedures are brief documents giving step-by-step instructions to carry out routine work. SOP’s are efficient and eliminate any chance of miscommunication.

Why Female Entrepreneurs Need Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

Most business coaches for female entrepreneurs highly recommend creating a standard operating procedure (SOP). SOP’s make business easier because you know the exact steps you need to take to get desired results. It leaves no room for any possible error. You basically set yourself up for success and gain the best outcome. SOP’s also makes it easy to delegate tasks. They can serve as a guide for your employees to carry out their given tasks on time without any mistake.

Standard operating procedures for female entrepreneurs make their business more professional and organized. They give businesswomen and their team clear focus and a sense of direction to get things done the right way.

Female Entrepreneurs

How To Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

Now that you are aware of the importance of SOP’s, you may be asking yourself how you can create effective SOP’s for your own business.

Firstly, you need to make a list of all your tasks. Then, highlight all the repetitive tasks and cross out the rest. Any task that is done more than three times needs to be standardized. These tasks can be quite simple, such as creating template messages to respond to certain questions, or welcoming new and old clients. They can also be as complicated as a client onboarding process that includes every action you need to take to start with a new client, from the moment they first contacted you till they say goodbye.

You can get help from a business coach for female entrepreneurs if you are still facing difficulties with creating the perfect SOP’s. A business coach for female entrepreneurs will carefully guide you throughout the whole process of making effective SOP’s.

Female Entrepreneurs

SOP’s Are Not Just For Big Companies

Female entrepreneurs often hesitate to create SOP’s and here is why:

  • They think SOP’s are just for big companies.
  • They believe that creating SOP’s requires a lot of time.
  • Also, they believe SOP’s are complicated and not at all easy to use.

It is a common thought among businesswomen that SOP’s are only necessary for big companies. However, most business coaches for women beg to differ. They believe SOP’s are necessary for businesses of all sizes. They help professionalize every business, whether it is you on your own or you with a team.

Female Entrepreneurs

On the other hand, almost every business coach for women agrees that creating and using SOP’s can be tricky. But don’t let this scare you away. Although creating SOP’s can be time-consuming, it can make time management for small business owners easier in the long run. It also prevents you from making avoidable mistakes.

To know about what changes female entrepreneurs need to make for their business to grow, check out this blog article.

Summing It Up

Most people have the misconception that SOP’s limit flexibility, but this is not true. According to a research by Harvard Business Reviews, creating SOP’s for your business makes it more efficient and adjustable. It makes time management for business owners easier and it leaves little to no room for mistakes. Hence, creating SOP’s for your business is not a bad idea. SOP’s help lift some work pressure off your shoulders and makes you more productive. It also makes your business look more reliable and systematic. So in order to grow your business, creating SOP’s is a must.

If you need more information on why standard operating procedures are necessary, you can consult a business coach for women.

How To Get Rid Of Overwhelm As A Female Entrepreneur?

If you are a female entrepreneur, chances are you will often feel overwhelmed. Women have too many responsibilities on their plate. They have to play the role of mother, wife, tutor, daughter, all in one. Think about that time you were at a doctor’s appointment but you were constantly worried about how you haven’t done the laundry, what to make for lunch, or how you need to tutor your kids. On top of this, if you are a businesswoman, the stress and anxiety make it worse. You often become overwhelmed and don’t feel like doing anything.

To avoid being overwhelmed, here are a few things you can to do:

Learn To Prioritize

Making a to-do list or a plan is easy, but determining what tasks are to be done first can be tricky. Avoiding overwhelm is nearly impossible without setting your priorities right. Most female entrepreneurs don’t know how to prioritize. They often try to do everything at the same time and end up accomplishing very little. This is why efficient time management for small business owners is very important. You must learn to prioritize your tasks to make the most out of your time. You can get help from a business coach for women to prioritize better. And you can also do it on your own. Before doing anything, ask yourself:

  • Do I need to do this right now?
  • Do I want to do this right now?
  • What will happen if I don’t do it at the moment?
  • Then you may decide if the task is important enough to be done right now or another task is more important.

This will make your life so much easier and simpler.

Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

Standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are documented data to ensure everything is being done in the right order at the right time. It also helps keep track of your business. To create standard operating procedures, you need to find out the tasks that are constant or repeating. For example, sales conversions, reading emails, creating proposals, or replying to comments, and so on. Then write them down in a system one by one. Add links, screenshots, images, or videos. Create templates if you need to.

After creating a system, copy, paste, and fill in the blanks. You can add updates to it whenever you want to. You can do this every three days, every week, or maybe monthly.

If you are still unable to create standard operating procedures for your business, you may enlist the help of a professional such as a business coach for female entrepreneurs. She will guide you through the whole process of creating an SOP.

Decide What You Can Automate

When you are just starting off your business, you mostly do all the work yourself. You send emails, proposals, and manage your business on your own. But as your business grows, you have more things to do and you may feel overwhelmed by work. This is where time management for business owners becomes crucial. To avoid overdoing yourself, you need to automate. Automation helps save you time and money. You can start automating your business by making a list of all the small tasks that need to be done regularly. Here are few tasks you can easily automate:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Client management
  • Checking emails
  • Sending proposals
  • Keeping social media updated

To know more about why you shouldn’t shy away from automation, you can check out this blog article.

Delegate What You Can’t Automate

As a female entrepreneur, you have a lot of tasks that you need to do. You may not have the time to do them or you may not like doing them, so you automate them. But there are tasks you cannot automate. The solution to this is to delegate them. Most business coaches for women don’t give you this advice. They teach you how to do all the tasks yourself.

Creating standard operating procedures for female entrepreneurs makes delegation easier since they have all the steps written down. This also prevents people you delegate to from making mistakes. To decide what needs to be delegated, you need to ask yourself:

  • What don’t you like doing?
  • What is making you no money but it still needs to be done?
  • And what are you not good at and other people are?

After you are done answering these questions, you will know what tasks need to be delegated. Then, you can hire people who are good at performing these tasks and build a team. Although finding good employees and making your team can take quite a bit of time, it pays off.

Summing It Up

Most people wait till they feel overwhelmed to take a break and to start reorganizing their business. You should do this from the beginning.

They constantly overwork themselves and don’t take care of their health. They try to do everything on their own and don’t automate because they believe it is too complicated or too expensive. Before they know it, they start feeling overwhelmed and can’t even perform a single task correctly. As a business owner, project management plays a key role in making sure that necessary measures are in place to avoid burnout.

To know more about how to avoid overwhelm, you can consult a business coach for women or more specifically a business coach for female entrepreneurs.

Find The Right Client

How Female Entrepreneurs Can Find The Right Client

Nowadays, everyone wants to start a business. Owning a business gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. You are your boss. Who wouldn’t want that?

Starting a business is no big deal. All you need is an idea. But maintaining and growing a business can be difficult. You have to face many hurdles and difficulties in your path to success.

One of the biggest problems that most business owners struggle with is finding the right client. It is even more difficult to deal with if you are a female entrepreneur.

Why Many Female Entrepreneurs Stick With The Wrong Clients For Too Long

The first step to a successful business is finding the right clients. But to find the right one, you need to let go of the wrong one first. Many female entrepreneurs struggle to let go of wrong clients. Women are nurturing by nature. They repeat the behavior in business and end up with clients who don’t value their services. Such clients are mostly unable to pay the full price for the services they are offered. Female entrepreneurs end up providing services to them at low prices, which causes a loss in business.

The worst habit you can have as a female entrepreneur is the inability to say no to these clients. Many businesswomen suffer from this habit and end up with the wrong clients who endlessly ask them for favors. So to establish a successful business, you need to learn to value your services enough to say no to anyone unwilling to pay the full price for them. You may also hire a business coach for women to help overcome such bad habits.

Female Entrepreneurs

Who Are The Right Clients For You

We all know how important finding the right client is. But what makes a client right for you?

Most women consult a business coach for female entrepreneurs to find the right client for them. But if you don’t want to hire a coach, here are a few qualities of a good client:

  • They pay the full amount for services offered, even if you keep raising your fees.
  • You love working with them.
  • They keep making big progress with your offers and services.

The right client will always value your offers and services. They won’t try to gain favors or offers from you at low prices. They will pay you the full price for the offers you are providing. And they will put them to good use and progress with them. Such clients will make you want to work with them more often.

How Do You Find The Right Clients

Sometimes to attract your ideal clients, it is better to start fresh. You often need to rebrand and reposition yourself. The first step to rebranding yourself is to find out the pain points of your ideal clients. You should be aware of the problems they are facing to be able to provide the necessary solutions. After this, you may adjust your brand according to their needs and requirements. You may change the name and the core values of your brand. And you may also change the pricing strategies and packages.

You should try your best to get good remarks from your ideal client. Getting their testimony will help you attract more clients like them.

Female Entrepreneurs

Female Entrepreneurs Need The Confidence To Sell To Better Clients

After you are done finding the right clients for you, the only thing left is having the confidence to be able to sell to them. Selling becomes so much easier when you value your services and have the confidence to sell to better clients. As a female entrepreneur, you should be convinced that the services you are providing will solve your clients’ problem. Most of the selling is using the right words and the right strategies to appeal to your clients. This whole process may seem boring, but selling is fun. It is necessary to grow your business.

To know more about how to build confidence to appeal to better clients, you can invest in a business coach for female entrepreneurs or a business coach for women.

Summing It Up

Finding the right client will help you get your business to the next level. You should avoid catering to clients that don’t offer you much. You should be aware of the value and worth of your services and offers. This will help you offer your services to people who are worth your time and effort.

In case you are unable to find the right client or get rid of the wrong client, you should try getting professional help. There are many business coaches for women out there that can help you solve your problems. Hiring a business coach for women is always a good idea.

Promotion for business

Why Promoting Themselves Is Difficult For Female Entrepreneurs

From the perspective of your clients, you are your brand or business so there is no reason why you shouldn’t self-promote. But what is self-promoting?

Self-promoting is a great way to increase your brand visibility by establishing yourself as the brand leader. It is especially important for female entrepreneurs and other small business owners. If you are personal branding or self-promoting, you have to express your values to your clients. You need to build a connection with them and ensure confidence. You can communicate with your target audience to build a trusting relationship. This will also help turn potential customers into loyal clients.

When You Have A Small business, You Offer A Service To Promote Yourself Not The Business

Female Entrepreneurs

Even though times have changed and business is not the same anymore, people still prefer to buy from people. Most small business owners represent their brand, especially in service-oriented businesses. Many of them promote themselves and generate more sales than business owners who don’t. The purpose of self-promotion is to portray your personal strengths and show how your client will benefit from them.

When female entrepreneurs promote themselves, they increase the visibility of their brand. This way, more people know about their brand. They establish themselves as a trusted figure to their target audience and before they know it, they are a recognized brand.

Reasons Why Self-Promoting Can Be Difficult For Female Entrepreneurs

Female Entrepreneurs

Self-promotion is crucial for a business to grow. As a female entrepreneur, you need to promote yourself to find new clients and appeal to investors. This task may seem easy but most female entrepreneurs consider it the most difficult part of their business development. The reason for this can be:

  • They have a lack of confidence.
  • They don’t like to brag about themselves.
  • They don’t like being the center of attention.
  • They underestimate themselves.

Women like talking about their responsibilities but dislike talking about their achievements. Society has made women believe getting good work recognized is more than enough. Women are often expected to fit in the “good girl’ image in business and never boast about their achievements. This has led to a lack of confidence in women regarding self-promotion.

When you self-promote, you are exposing yourself to the world. You are more prone to be judged. People will most likely comment on your achievements and the services you are providing. Most women fear judgment and don’t self-promote.

But Self-promotion is an important aspect of business development that can not be ignored. So, you need to overcome whatever is stopping you from promoting yourself. If you don’t know how to do so, consulting a business coach for women or a business coach for a female entrepreneur is not a bad idea.

When You Promote Yourself, Don’t Forget To Mention Why You Do What You Do

Female Entrepreneurs

Every female entrepreneur is fully aware of what they want, how they want it, and what they need to do it get it. But they don’t know WHY they want it. What is the purpose behind what you do? Why does your brand exist? They mostly don’t know the answer to any of these questions. But knowing the WHY of a brand is extremely important in business. The purpose or WHY of your brand drives loyalty and inspires people. In an interview with Simon Sinek, the author of start with WHY and a popular speaker, he said, “ Every person has a WHY and every organization has a WHY.”

After being aware of the WHY of your brand, you must remember to mention it while self-promoting. This will help you gain the trust and loyalty of your clients.

To know more about how to win over potential clients, you may want to consult a business coach for women. Your business coach for female entrepreneurs will help you gain the credibility and trust of your audience.

Summing It Up

Overdoing self-promoting can make you look obnoxious, but you shouldn’t shy away from it. You should value yourself and your achievement. You may also brag about them whenever you need to. Self-promoting will help your business grow faster than ever. You may hire a business coach for women or a business coach for female entrepreneurs to help you with self-promotion and other business matter.
